1. Program Description
- Responses to admissions inquiries;
- Requested information about RYSE Wellness programs and services;
- Consultation and appointment scheduling;
- Appointment reminders;
- Insurance verification updates;
- Admissions, intake, transportation, and discharge coordination;
- Follow-up communications;
- Client or family communications;
- Care-coordination messages;
- Customer-service communications;
- Administrative notices; and
- Other communications that you request or authorize.
2. Consent to Receive Text Messages
- Checking an SMS consent box on a RYSE Wellness website form;
- Providing written consent through another electronic or paper form;
- Providing documented verbal consent;
- Initiating a text-message conversation with RYSE Wellness;
- Asking a RYSE Wellness representative to communicate with you by text; or
- Using another consent method made available by RYSE Wellnes
- You are at least 18 years old;
- You are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number provided, or you are authorized to provide consent for that number;
- The information you provide is accurate; and
- You will notify us if your mobile number changes or is reassigned.

8. Privacy and Mobile Information
Text-message opt-in information and consent will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
RYSE Wellness may disclose mobile information to service providers that support our communications, telecommunications, information technology, security, customer service, recordkeeping, or compliance activities. Such information will be disclosed only as reasonably necessary for those providers to perform services on our behalf.
Service providers are not authorized to use your mobile information or SMS consent for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, regulation, licensing authority, court order, or a valid governmental request, or when reasonably necessary to protect a person’s health, safety, rights, or property.

9. Healthcare and Sensitive Information
Text messages may not be encrypted and may be accessible to anyone who has access to your mobile device, wireless account, backups, notifications, or messaging applications.
You should avoid sending highly sensitive information by text, including:
- Detailed medical or mental health information;
- Social Security numbers;
- Financial account information;
- Insurance identification numbers;
- Passwords;
- Government identification documents; or
- Other confidential information that is not necessary for the communication.
RYSE Wellness may ask you to continue sensitive discussions through a more appropriate communication method.
Participation in the SMS program does not create a provider-patient relationship. A provider-patient relationship is established only through RYSE Wellness’s formal admissions, consent, and treatment processes.
Text messages do not replace professional medical or mental health evaluation, diagnosis, advice, or treatment.
10. Emergencies and Crisis Communications
The RYSE Wellness text-messaging program is not an emergency service and must not be used for crisis intervention, emergency medical assistance, or urgent clinical needs.
RYSE Wellness does not guarantee that incoming text messages will be reviewed or answered immediately.
If you or another person may be experiencing a medical emergency, life-threatening mental health emergency, immediate danger, or risk of harm, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
Do not delay seeking emergency assistance while waiting for a response to a text message.
11. Message Delivery and Carrier Disclaimer
- Delayed messages;
- Undelivered messages;
- Incomplete messages;
- Messages delivered out of order;
- Network interruptions;
- Device or software failures;
- Carrier filtering or blocking;
- Incorrect or reassigned telephone numbers; or
- Other delivery failures outside RYSE Wellness’s reasonable control.
The SMS program is provided on an “as available” basis. RYSE Wellness does not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free text-message service.
Not all mobile devices, wireless carriers, or service plans may support the program.
12. Appropriate Use
- Illegal, fraudulent, threatening, abusive, or deceptive content;
- Harassment or hate speech;
- Malicious software or harmful code;
- Unsolicited advertising or promotional content;
- Content that infringes another person’s rights; or
- Any material that violates applicable law.
13. Changes to These Terms
RYSE Wellness may update these SMS Terms and Conditions periodically to reflect changes in our practices, services, technology, legal obligations, or messaging requirements.
Updated terms will be posted on this webpage with a revised “Last Updated” date.
Your continued participation in the SMS program after updated terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Where legally required, we will obtain renewed consent.
You may discontinue participation at any time by replying STOP.
14. Termination of the Program
RYSE Wellness may suspend, modify, or discontinue all or part of its text-messaging program at any time.
Termination of the program does not affect rights or obligations that arose before termination.
15. Governing Terms
These SMS Terms and Conditions apply specifically to RYSE Wellness text messaging and supplement the RYSE Wellness Privacy Policy and any other applicable agreements or consent documents.
If a conflict exists regarding the handling of mobile information or SMS consent, the provisions that provide greater protection to mobile information and SMS consent will control.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights available to you under applicable consumer-protection, healthcare-privacy, or communications laws.
